RECORDINGS IN LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS


What is it?

It is a set of operating standards and practices. This document clarifies the standards under which University of Calgary instructors and students may record learning experiences in physical and digital learning spaces.


Who is it for?

University of Calgary instructors and students.


What can it do?

This site outlines under what circumstances recordings in learning environment are permissble.

Three types of media recording are addressed:
  1. Media recording for lesson capture
  2. Media recording for assessment of student learning
  3. Media recording for self-assessment of teaching

There are also consent and release forms for both instructors and students.
