OFFICE OF EQUITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION


What is it?

They are committed to an equitable, diverse, and inclusive campus that is accessible to all and free from harassment, bullying, and discrimination.

The University of Calgary recognizes that diverse faculty, staff, students and alumni benefit and enrich the work, teaching, learning and research experiences of the entire campus and broader community. They are committed to removing barriers that have been, and continue to be, encountered by equity seeking groups, including women, Indigenous peoples, visible/racialized minorities, persons with disabilities, and LGBTQ+.


Who is it for?

Faculty, staff, and
students at the University of Calgary.


What can it do?

The office supports and aligns with a number of university policies and procedures, and works with various units on campus to advance and equitable, diverse, inclusive and accessible campus for all.

Mission
The OEDI is committed to establishing an equitable, diverse, and inclusive campus that is accessible to all and free from harassment, bullying, and discrimination. We strive to remove barriers that have been, and continue to be, encountered by equity seeking groups, including women, Indigenous peoples, visible/racialized minorities, persons with disabilities, and LGBTQ2S+.

The OEDI serves as a centralized resource for equity, diversity, and inclusion through resources and education, we will continue to foster a community of change-makers. We will support the development of future leaders to work effectively in a safe community where individuals feel valued for their skills, abilities, and contributions.
