Profile

Anthony Seto is the course chair and curriculum developer for “Intro to Clinical Practice”, a medical student course at the University of Calgary.

He has experience with creating online simulations to prepare medical students to manage cardiac arrests and online simulations to prepare healthcare providers to manage serious conditions at Electronic Dance Music festivals. He has facilitated a variety of educational sessions via video conference, which includes a First Aid Instructor course, a Lifesaving Society Trainer recertification course, a patient interview / examination session for final-year medical students, and a “Gamification and Educational Games” workshop for physicians. Anthony likes to use Google Forms as a platform to create interactive learning; for example, he designed an escape game on Google Forms for teamwork skills training.

Out of all digital educational tools, his favourite is video. For his “Intro to Clinical Practice” course, he has created course trailers, video emails, orientation videos, lecture videos, workshop videos, and course finale videos. He thinks of education like a show production and is always looking for innovative ways to elevate the edu-tainment!
