ACCESSIBLE COURSE MATERIAL (UofC)

What is it?

Instructors should ensure that all course material is accessible to the widest possible audience. This includes, but is not limited to, students with disabilities and/or those class members using assistive technologies. The University of Calgary has put together advice on how materials (and courses) can be made accessible.

Who is it for?

This information is for all instructors.

What can it do?

Accessible online content:
  • University of Calgary instructors making use of Desire2Learn should consult the D2L resource centre section on accessible course design
  • There is additional D2L information available through eLearn, which includes accessible design templates

Accessible course materials:
  • Consult the University of Minnesota's Accessible U website for more information on creating accessible course content
